What Tesla Optimus actually costs

There is no price today. Here is every number Tesla or Musk has actually said in public, in order, and what is still just a guess. This section also covers "Tesla bot cost," the older nickname people still search.

Price Q&A

Why is there no Optimus price yet?
Tesla has not opened a consumer sales channel. The only statement Musk has made is a long-term target price for a robot "produced at scale," which has not been reached.
Is the $20k-$30k target locked in?
No. Musk has only said it is a "long term" target once Tesla reaches "millions of units per year." He has not committed to this price for early production units, which will cost more to make.
Could it cost more when it launches?
Likely, though we have no sourced figure for by how much. Musk has said the $20,000 to $30,000 target applies only at full manufacturing scale, which Tesla has not reached. Early production runs of complex hardware typically cost more per unit than mass production, but we have not found a citable estimate specific to Optimus, so we are not putting a number on it.
How does Optimus compare to other robots priced today?
Unitree G1 is $13,500. 1X NEO is $20,000. Figure 03, Digit, and Atlas have no consumer prices - enterprise only. Optimus has no price.

$20,000 to $30,000 is a target, not a price. Every page on this site labels it that way. Musk has said it applies only once Tesla reaches full manufacturing scale, which has not happened.

Manufacturing cost per unit is not yet known. Tesla has not disclosed what it costs to build one Optimus unit. Figures of $50,000 to $100,000 per unit circulate on aggregator sites, but none trace to a primary Tesla disclosure, so we do not publish them.
