You cannot preorder a Tesla Optimus
No official preorder page exists on any Tesla property. If a site is asking for payment or card details to reserve one, it is not Tesla.
Tesla has never opened public preorders and has never taken a public deposit for Optimus. Independent research and general cybersecurity reporting have flagged sites claiming to take Optimus preorders as fraudulent. Do not enter payment information on any site claiming to reserve one.
A widely shared social media post claiming a $29,990 preorder price is misinformation, not a real Tesla figure. Tesla has never confirmed any preorder price.
How to spot a fake preorder site
- Asks for payment or card details to "reserve" a unit
- Uses "Pre-Order Today" language with a working checkout flow
- Has no verifiable link to Tesla's own investor relations or newsroom pages
- Promises a specific ship date or unit count for a product Tesla has not made purchasable
